Welcome to Foodasty, your treasure map to simple, delicious and wholesome eating for a better living.
Hey there!
I’m Saba Akbar, your friendly neighborhood chef with 25 years of cooking magic and a fitness enthusiast. 10 years ago, something got wonky –I was diagnosed with GERD, that pesky heartburn monster.
Instead of taking pills, I decided to take my road through “cause and effect.” And in a quest to cure my problem, I started educating myself about food. Result? Now, I’m healed from GERD, much healthier, and passionate about aging healthily.
I believe in clean and “pure” eating–food that provides nutrients to you for growth, repair, and maintenance of bodily functions without harming you. By exploring the actual meaning of food and how food affects our well-being, I’ve learned to listen to my body’s voice and understand every bite.
Today, I’m thriving as a student of food and nutrition. Through self-directed learning, I learn nutrient profiles, cooking techniques, or alternative remedies, experiment with them, and then help my dear ones, including you, to live better. With each sunrise, you can see my passion for ‘eating well and healthily,’ and naturopathy growing stronger, leading me to encourage these practices instead of relying on pills.
